I’m Filipe Leitão, an award-winning composer, music producer, and sound designer. My work spans film, concert music, and media scoring, with performances and screenings at international festivals and institutions.
I hold a Doctor of Musical Arts and an MFA in Music Production and Sound Design for Visual Media, and I developed the Media Scoring program at Virginia Commonwealth University, where I teach composition, orchestration, and music production.
Forge Horns was built from real scoring work — designed for cinematic horn writing, expressive long lines, precise articulations, and playable performances that help your ideas move quickly from sketch to finished cue.
About the performer.
Fabrício Santos is a horn player from Pará, Brazil. He began his musical studies at the age of 8 through the Vale Música Project and later specialized in horn.
He served as principal horn of the Orquestra Jovem Vale Música and currently performs as principal horn of the Orquestra Sinfônica do Theatro da Paz, Brazil.
His background includes major festivals, orchestral residencies, opera productions, and masterclasses with renowned musicians from Brazil and abroad — bringing a strong orchestral voice and expressive horn tradition to Forge Horns.

Forge Horns includes a dedicated Long articulation for sustained notes, melodic lines, heroic calls, and expressive thematic writing. The Long articulation gives you the flexibility to create soaring themes and noble horn lines alongside the more rhythmic and performance-based content.

Most horn libraries are built primarily around isolated articulations and sustained notes. Forge Horns combines playable articulations with real performed phrases, giving you both flexibility and instant musical movement. Are the performances tempo-locked?
The Performance NKIs were recorded at 120 BPM and work best between 100–130 BPM. They automatically follow your DAW tempo and stay perfectly in sync.

Yes. All performances are fully playable and recorded as single notes, allowing you to create your own harmonies and chord progressions in real time. You can switch performances instantly and shape the rhythm using the built-in controls.
